News
Here all the latest cubing news will be listed. Check for updates

Haiyan Zhuang's new BLD WR : 47.22 seconds
This is just amazing. I mean who can be faster than Ville? Well this guy can. He beat the previous world record by a second. That is just ownage. He memorized for 15 seconds and then boom, he solves it crazy fast. I am happy for this guy, but Ville is obviously going to take the WR record back. Probably more than 5 seconds. The speedcubing community can expect a sub 30 blindfold time( Have you seen his sub-25 solve?). Ville has gotten better times than this; never in competition, though Ville and Haiyan aren't the only two guys who have the potential for the world record. Rowe Hessler is on it too. I checked his WCA profile and  found something strange; his bld solves are faster than his 3x3 speedsolve. I heard( heard lol) a rumor on speedsolving.com that he does bld in speedsolving. That is just messesd up.I can't say anything bad to him. I mean he has a WR; most cubers never will.

Matyas Kuti: Hero or cheater?

There have been many debates regarding Matyas Kuti cheating. Nobody actually knows if he cheated or he did not. It all started when one guy on the speedsolving. forum was suspicious of Matya's fast times. He was probably jealous and made a post about him cheating. As soon as other people saw thus, they became to question Matyas. What method did he use? How did he memorize? What blindfold did he use? etc. So the debate heatened up to the point where he was "caught" cheating in a video. In an attempt at multi-bld, he messed up on one of the algorithms and he fixed it in a layer by layer method. This could only be done if he was peeking. So the WCA members came up with an idea; they were going to test Matyas under strict rules.

Erik Akkersdijk's success

So you know  Erik Akkersdijk right? Well, if you don't, then you don't know about many WR(World records) then. This guy is a super beast and extremely talented at speedcubing. He holds the most World Records right now. This ranges from from the 2x2 to the 5x5. That is very impressive. I really doubt that these World Records will be broken. They will be broken eventually, but that is going to take a long long time. I mean who can break the World Record for the 2x2 by beating the impressive time of .96 sec? That would be horrible if someone else got a time of .95 seconds. I would be mad at that guy and at the same time happy that I have some competition. Well, for atleast the 2x2. Erik's got a bunch of people on his tail for the 3x3 speedsolve. Yu Nakijima and Harris Chan are  a few of them. If you do not know, he solved the 3x3 within a time of 7.08 seconds. One word: beast. It was a lucky solve obviously, but hey "getting lucky is not a crime..." Without further a due, I present to you some videos of Erik just beasting his cube(s).

Anthony Searle's new NAR multi-blind

As you may know Anthony Searle has just recently broken the NAR( North American Record) for muti-blind in competition. He solved 5 cubes blindfolded in about 47 minutes flat. That is just plain amazing, I mean like not everyon is going aroud breaking records all the time. So as I was saying, Anthony is a speedcuber who was born in Belize and he now lives in Texas. He is a cool guy and one of my cubing friends. So you are going like yeah, Anthony is a beast. Well, he is. He is good at blindfoldcubing, and speecubing. He is going for OH( One-handed) as well. If you don't know, Anthony is the only cuber from Belize, so basically he has like 10 National records, and 1 Continental.
